OpenID at work in blogger और टाइपिंग इन हिन्दी

I must say that the blogger team is innovating at the speed of light. Just days after they rolled out support for Hindi and other languages, now people can use accounts of other sites to post comments.

The interoperability is a really good thing as while the popularity of blogs continue to rise there is great competition among the different to both retain and attract customers. However few serious bloggers continually blog at more than one site so it becomes inconvenient for them to comment on other site blogs without registering for the site.

Anyway four sites are available now, the most imp of which has to be wordpress. But missing is technocrati.

It is listed under open id and is a good option for people who hate posting anonymously.

I also like the hind option और अब मैं हिन्दी में लिखना की कोशिश करोंगा

इंग्लिश से hindi transliteration is good, perhaps inspired by the the SMS lingo where all languages use the english alphabet.

The only trouble is that the मत्रिये i.e. the vowel sounds are not correct. The funny thing is hindi हिन्दी is itself spelt wrong.

That or my hindi has gone to the dogs.

Man my hindi sucks 2... I have had a hindi tutor since class 6th... but doesn't it read honey-di???

The orkut translator puts it as हिंदी (Can u do that???... 2 mataras on one alphabet???)... They basically work on the basis of sounds u know... the kind that they use for typing in chinese... The hindi translator just isn't so well developed yet.

If u click on the words it does give you an alternate spelling... But unfortunately none of em looks like the hindi i remember.

I hope the Shiv Sena (or even the MNS) ppl don't get a glimpse of it... or i am sure they'd ban blogger as well as orkut for disrespecting the national language. :D

@ life of pi I am surprised. With the amount of hindi splattered around your blog I thought you must be quite a master.

Dont worry my hindi is awful. Dont have the depth of Vocabulary.

@ wolfestein
That was my point.
They are allowing us to type in Hindi and the word hindi is itself spelt wrong

Wow , u sure like hindi movies. Keep the craze up.

Dont worry, you just need the environmen and you could quite master hindi. Even I dont speak chaste hindi or rather can't speak it. I have too much of an influence of Urdu in my speech
